Kykao - Oak Aged Barley Wine (Ale/Greece)

A beer with a distinct personality from Greek Kykao, produced in 2019 and matured in oak barrels to give it a barrel taste, the barley wine matured in oak pieces. Although it is called wine in English, it is actually a high-alcohol beer. It is known to have been produced in England in the 18th century.
When you drink the beer, you can clearly taste the resin flavors that come from oak aging. In addition, the sweet malt character dominates. It is a beer that should be consumed at a wine-like pace due to its high alcohol content.
It was a beer that I enjoyed drinking very much. It is a rare type and I recommend that you drink it wherever you find it, regardless of the brand.

Alc (ABV): 12.0%
Score: 9/10
