Knidos - Brewheart - Scottish Ale (Turkey)

Knidos' unique beer that you can only drink on tap, Brewheart. First of all, I liked the name. Referring to the Scottish Braveheart film, it is named Brewheart. Scottish Ales are known for their chestnut and brown hues, low bitterness, and sometimes the "peat" flavor found in whiskies.
Brewheart is one of the rare high-alcohol beers in Turkey and could also be the first example of a Scottish Ale. However, Brewheart is quite high in alcohol for a Scottish ale. The light flavors in the beer make us notice the high alcohol content. I recommend tasting it if you visit Bosphorus Brewing Company (@bbc_ist) or Sanayi1A (@sanayi1a).

McEwan's - Export - Scottish Ale (Scotland)

McEwan's Original Scottish was not as bad as I expected. At least I could taste the malt flavor as it was stated on the bottle. However, do not be fooled by the "1856", "Original Scottish", "Full flavoured" labels and expect an indispensable taste resulting from many years of experience. It's just an ordinary "English Pub" beer.

McEwan's - Headspace - Scottish Ale (Scotland)

Actually, everything had started well; a dark beer with high alcohol content, infused with Scotch whiskey! And it came in a nice bottle, having been produced since 1856. However, my disappointment struck with the very first sip. Unfortunately, I must say that McEwan's is one of those tasteless English beers. There's no body, no aroma, no taste, and despite searching for it, I couldn't find any hint of whiskey flavor. Perhaps my high expectations also played a part in my profound disappointment, but a beer without flavor shouldn't misrepresent itself to consumers. I'm deducting points for misleading marketing claims. However, I am slightly increasing the score since there is only one week left until its best before date.
