McFarland - Irish Red Ale (Netherlands)

McFarland seems to be a beer only found in Greece. It has an original name and a classic bottle design.
When you look closely at the bottle, it says it is brewed by Murphy Brewery. This famous Murphy's Stout beer maker. However, this beer is made in Greece. After a little research, I found out that this is actually a brand created for countries that don't like dark beer, after Murphy was acquired by Heineken in 1983. So, it doesn't really have an original aspect.
The taste doesn't live up to the expectations set by the brand and the appearance of the bottle. If you don't feel like having a standard lager at that moment, it can be an alternative. That was also the case for me.

Gouden Carolus - Classıc - Belgian Dark Strong Ale (Netherlands)

Zundert 10 - Quadrupel (Ale/Netherlands)

There are 11 Trappist beer producers in the world, and only 2 of them are in the Netherlands, one of which is Zundert.
Actually, Zundert is a new beer, Zundert 10, which has been produced since 2018. The first Zundert was produced in 2013 and its current name is Zundert 8. It is a method chosen by the monasteries to increase their income along with the curiosity for Trappist beers.
Zundert 10 is a quadrupel, which means it is a high-alcohol, sweet beer with intense flavors of fruit, cocoa, and spices.
I recommend trying every Trappist beer wherever you find them.
