Efes - Belfast - Pale Lager (Turkey)

Efes's another new brand, Belfast.
A beer called Premium Irish Lager. I couldn't find another brand called Belfast. There is a Polish beer with the same name but I couldn't find any connection with this beer.
Belfast also gives a ordinary lager taste. It is difficult to compare it with other lagers in the market. I believe it was released to create brand diversity.

Perge - Bistro Lager - Pale Lager (Turkey)

I think there is a new producer in the market. The price of this beer, which you can find in Metro, is quite low.
It was one of the beers with low bitterness and the crunchiest biscuit-like taste I have ever had. Its body is not as light as other cheap beers I have had.

Efes - Bremen 1827 - Pale Lager (Turkey)

Efes has released a relatively cheap beer this summer. I think it's from the brands they previously sold in Russia and Kazakhstan. The reason for calling it 1827 is probably because that's the founding date of the city of Bremenhaven on the coast of Bremen.
This beer, like Tuborg advertised, is produced according to the "German Purity Law" or "Reinheitsgebot". However, this purity law doesn't really mean anything for the quality of the beer. It simply states that only water, barley, and hops will be used in the production. Yes, there is no yeast in the formula because people didn't know about its existence when the law was written in 1516.
The beer has a nice-looking box, but I can't say I enjoyed the taste very much. I didn't have high expectations from a beer produced to be cheaper in price.

Carlsberg - Luna - Pale Lager (Turkey)

Carlsberg, a beer that I like among the big brands. Luna, which was released this summer, is a unfiltered and "dry-hopped" beer, meaning that the hops are added after the beer ferments and before it is bottled. The label on the bottle is made green to symbolize the hops, but it gave me the impression of a lime-flavored beer.
This beer is also a nice, frothy beer like regular Carlsberg. I recommend pouring this beer into a glass so that you can catch the aroma of the hops. However, you won't find the taste of the hops very prominent. So, don't expect a taste similar to Pale Ales or IPAs. The hops have left a rather subtle impact on the flavor.
I think this beer is also influenced by the developing "craft beer" movement in Turkey in recent years. People may not want to drink the same beer throughout their lives, especially the younger generation.

Simon - Régal - Pale Lager (Luxembourg)

Another one of the Luxembourg breweries is La Brasserie Simon. They are also the producer of Okult and Ourdaller branded beers in Luxembourg. They mostly produce classic-style beers under the original Simon brand.
Régal, compared to pilsners, has less bitterness and more maltiness, which gives it a fuller and lighter sweet flavor. Additionally, it has a slightly higher alcohol content. Régal aims to provide a more satisfying taste for those who prefer light-colored pilsner beer. It's not particularly within my area of interest, but it is a good beer.

Gambrinus is Battin's lager beer. It's smooth to drink, a standard pilsner.

Established in 1937, Brasserie Battin is the third largest brand in Luxembourg.
A high-alcohol lager with a nice texture. Sweet and nicely foamy.

Totenhopfen Brauhaus - Svenson - Pale Lager (Luxembourg)

A beer made for Sven, who finds Totenhopfen's beers "normal", and of course, a Lager.
However, don't expect it to taste like a pilsner even though it's a lager. It contains a quite a bit of hops and has intense flavors. However, the alcohol content is lower compared to other beers in the series.
Despite my cautious expectations and aversion to normal beers, this has been my favorite beer from the series so far.

Ožujsko - Pale Lager (Croatia)

One of Croatia's most famous two beers, Ožujsko, I believe is the first one. Its producer is the region's oldest and largest industrial beer producer.
Its taste reminded me of Efes before it became +1. It's not a type of beer that I can easily drink due to its bitterness (not the bitterness of hops), to be honest.

Damm - Estrella Damm - Pale Lager (Spain)

Barcelona's famous beer, Estrella Damm. If you've been to Barcelona and wanted to drink beer, you must have come across it for sure.
In my opinion, it's just an ordinary lager that should be enjoyed only at its place.

Peroni - Nastro Azurro - Pale Lager (Italy)

Italy, the wine country, probably has the most famous beer.
A classic lager. However, I don't think it's necessary to pay 28TL for it because it's a very standard beer. You can drink it on a hot day in Italy. Instead, I recommend you to buy a local craft beer.

Peja - Lager - Pale Lager (Kosovo)

Peja is a Kosovo beer. I suppose it must be very popular in Kosovo if it's made its way here.
It's a moderately low-alcohol typical lager. If the pandemic ends and you go to Kosovo in the summer, you can enjoy drinking it a lot.

Afanasy - Marochnoe Light - Pale Lager (Russia)

Despite having only one week left until its expiration date, it was a beer that I liked. Frankly, although it had a nice bottle, my expectations were quite low because it said "light-colored beer" on it. Firstly, it's not light in color, meaning it's not even close to the color of a pilsner, it has an unfiltered amber appearance. The taste is quite malty and lacks bitterness, almost nonexistent. It goes down very smoothly and enjoyable.

Kirin Ichiban - Pale Lager (Japan)

Another famous Japanese beer is Kirin Ichiban. It's a beer I've had before, but I approached it cautiously after the bad experience with Asahi. Compared to Asahi, Kirin has the real taste of beer, meaning it's drinkable.
By the way, I read that Asahi, which was introduced in 1987, is a beer specifically designed to reduce the taste after each sip, especially the malt. It's actually a marketing genius. Kirin, on the other hand, stays true to the classic beer taste.

Efes - Winter Blue - Pale Lager (Turkey)

Efes's another seasonal beer. In my opinion, the sole purpose of these side beers is to create interest with different packaging. To be honest, I couldn't taste a significant difference in the beer's flavor. It might be a bit lighter than regular Efes. But I think its content is similar to one of Efes's other released unfiltered side products.
However, when I think of a winter beer, I imagine a dark, rich, and higher alcohol content beer. This version of Efes, on the other hand, is less alcoholic.

Fuller’s - Frontier - Pale Lager (England)

Well, I had the second and last Fuller's as well. As you can see in the picture, it's a beer without any head. Its taste was just as absent as its head. Not much to say, but I can tell it was better than Asahi.

Contrary to what's written on the bottle, I couldn't find those citrus and spice flavors. Unfortunately, it was a beer I drank without much enjoyment. Those who had it on tap have made more positive comments. Maybe this beer should be tried on site as well.

Knidos - Tank 1 Lager - Pale Lager (Turkey)

A very nice Lager. Generally, I'm not attracted to lager beers. They are not beers that I drink with great care due to their weak aroma and similar tastes. However, Tank 1, if it didn't say Lager on it, I could classify it as an Ale. It has a relatively high alcohol content, it's not very fizzy, it doesn't have the bitter taste that follows, and it is very easy to drink.
I really enjoyed it, I recommend you to try it.
