Maibock is a lighter-colored and hoppy version of German bock beers. Generally, the roasted malt character is more pronounced. This Maibock is a beer that Lift Bridge released temporarily last year. I can't see it on their website at the moment, Lift Bridge used Munich, Pilsen, and Maris Otter malts in these beers.
Although I have had Maibock before, I don't remember its character very well. However, this Maibock is as described, lighter in color compared to a bock, with a malty character and some bitterness. As for the alcohol content, it is very close to the upper limit. It's not really my style, but it's nice to try different beers once in a while.
