Even brewers who are not from Munich, Bavaria, or even Germany are making their own Oktoberfest beers.
Samuel Adams is a brand of the Boston Beer Company. Established in 1984, this brewer originally started as a craft brewer in line with the original, but currently it is the second largest craft brewer and the 9th largest brewer in America.
Their Octoberfest is made in the original Märzen style. Honestly, I prefer this older style more. It's more roasted and malty. I find it difficult to differentiate the light-colored Oktoberfest beers from Pilsners.
Samuel Adams has created a beer that embodies the spirit of the Oktoberfest festival.
